Estimates Diameter at Breast Height from a single monocular RGB image using known camera-to-tree distance. A YOLOv8s-seg model trained on 1,800 annotated trunk images segments the trunk (Mask mAP50 0.953 at 130 FPS), with Grounding DINO + SAM 2 as a zero-shot fallback; pinhole camera projection converts pixel width into metric DBH. The dataset is released openly on Zenodo.
